About Us

Home grown produce and gourmet foods

Welcome to the Red Barn Farm Market. The Red Barn has a proud tradition of family farming dating back to 1960. Since that time we've been dedicated to bringing you the freshest produce possible.

Summer in Full Swing

The freshest bestest sweet corn is here! Featuring Mirai!

The vegetable season is going strong; almost everything is in. Checkout the crops list to see everything we're growing this year.

Everything tastes wonderful when its fresh and you can't get any fresher than vegetables on the farm. Our Sweet Corn is having a bumper crop this year. We have many super sweet varieties including the famous Mirai. Mirai is a super sweet bi color that stays sweet even though it has a large cob. It's a great combination that makes its reputation of super delightful mega tastiness well deserved.

Tomatoes are another excellent example of fresh flavor that can only come from the farm. Stay away from the mealy super market tomatoes and come experience tomatoes as they were meant to be at the Red Barn.

Broccoli and Cauliflower are some of the most varying vegetables in terms of variety. Unfortunately a lot of people eat them in the veggie platters found at a super market. The varieties used in those are designed to stay firm for a long time. Sadly this comes at the cost of a very distinctive bitter taste. The broccoli and cauliflower at the Red Barn are some of the mildest varieties out there. No bitter flavor, you won't believe the difference if you're used to bitter grocery store broccoli!

We have too many veggies to list here individually so you'll just have to visit us to see them all.

P.S. Fall Festival is just a month or so away but we're excited to annouce we've booked a fantastic folk musician, Chicago Farmer for Saturday, October 24th, from 1-4pm. Don't miss out!
